These were originally Christmas Italian cookies but we made them for Easter and they turned out perfect! The kids loved making these and decorating them with colorful sprinkles after being iced. They taste delicious, we will definitely be making these again!
Great for any holiday and great to take to a party or pot luck! I love holiday baking, its always fun! Easter is always one of those holidays where there are lots of friends and family around. It’s great to have some finger food ready!

Italian Easter Cookies
Ingredients
Cookies
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 1/2 cup flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
Icing
- 2 cup sifted confectioner’s sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 6 tsp water
Instructions
Cookies
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs; add vanilla and dry ingredients.
- Knead and roll pieces of dough into logs and curl to shape.
- Place on greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
Icing
- Stir until creamy. Spread on cookies. Top with sprinkles.
