These dinner rolls are easy and quick to make, great if you’re in a hurry because people are coming over!
Dinner Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp warm water
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 1/2 tbsp active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 cups flour
Instructions
- Using a stand mixer, mix the warm water, butter, yeast, and sugar
- Allow the mixture to rest for 15 minutes
- Mix 2 cups of flour, the salt, and the egg into the yeast mixture using dough hook
- Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour to the mixture 1/2 cup at a time
- Knead using a dough hook until no longer sticking to the bowl
- Shape dough into 12 balls and place in a 9x13 pan or 9”pie plate I got 10 rolls made mine big.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let rest 30 minutes ( mine took 50 mins )
- Bake @ 400 for 12-14 minutes or until tops are golden brown
Notes
This can be done by hand just follow steps when adding to bowl.
