Country chicken stew is quick and easy to make and perfect for a weeknight dinner! Creamy goodness in a healthy meal for the family!
I love this chicken stew recipe because it’s super easy to make! Quick enough to make on a weekday night when you need a meal that doesn’t take long to put together.
My family really enjoys stew. It’s one of those ‘stick to your ribs’ kind of meals. I usually double my recipe so I have leftovers for the kids. They will bring food like this in a thermos to school the next day for lunch! They love home style meals like this and stew is definitely a repeat meal. Chicken stew is their favorite!
We ate stew a lot when I was a kid. It was one of those meals I never seemed to get sick of. Loved eating stew with bread and butter when I was young.
To speed things up you can use leftover chicken or a rotisserie chicken to save time. You can also use any frozen veggies you have in the freezer. Throw in whatever you have on hand, doesn’t matter wheat kind of veggies. This is a quick meal for the whole family that they’ll enjoy and some variation is nice! Delicious!
You can also throw all these ingredients in the crock pot and cook your chicken stew that way. Low for 4-6 hours.

Hi, for the Country Chicken Stew. If I want to cook this in the crock pot, Do I just use like 2 or 3 chicken breasts (raw) or do I still use the cooked chicken? Thanks for any help you can give me. Have a wonderful and blessed day.
